the walk home
walk home with her.
this is the app’s own walk-home mode, running right here. she watches the route, and checks in while you walk. go quiet, and you’ll see exactly what she does.
the full-screen version. walk it inline on the homepage instead.

not walking yet
what happens on a walk.
she watches the route and checks in while you walk. this is the app’s own behaviour, running as a demo.
- three check-ins as you walk, one tap each
- go quiet, and your person is messaged
- stay quiet, and the police call opens
the real ladder is 4 minutes, then 2, then 1. seven minutes from check-ins on to the police call, and she only watches while this page is open. a spot is a locality named in public news reports, not a street and not a danger score; an unmarked area is not safer. this map is illustrative.
what you just walked
the ladder, as it really runs.
the demo compresses the clock so you can feel it. in the app, the numbers are these, and every check-in says the thing that is true at its own rung.
one miss is common. at a four-minute cadence, anyone who is simply distracted will lapse. that is why your person hears at the first miss, but nothing is ever written about your walk until the police rung.
honestly
what this demo is, and isn’t.
- it’s a simulation. the map is drawn by the page, the walk is scripted, and the timings are compressed. the behaviour is the app’s own.
- saaya dials nothing by herself. at the last miss the call surface opens with the number chosen; the dial stays your tap.
- she sees you only while the page is open. close it mid-walk and she stops watching. keep it open while you walk.
- she never calls a street safe. a reported spot is a locality a public report named, and an unmarked area is not a safer one.
questions
What is the walk-home simulation?
It is Saaya's own walk-home mode, running in the browser as a demo. She watches the route, turns the check-ins on herself when your path crosses a reported 200 m spot, and climbs the ladder only if you go quiet. It is the product's real behaviour, compressed so you can feel it in a minute.
How long is the real ladder?
Four minutes for the first check-in, then two, then one. Seven minutes from check-ins on to the police call. One miss messages your person, two misses updates them, and the third miss opens the police call with the number already chosen.
Does Saaya call the police on its own?
No. No web page may place a call without you touching a dial action. At the third missed check-in the call surface opens by itself with the number chosen. Dialling stays one tap, and the app never pretends otherwise.
Is the map in the demo a real map?
No. The demo draws its own illustrative street scene so the walk costs no network and no tiles. The violet circle is the area-level 200 m reported spot the app draws at a locality a public report named, never a street and never a danger score.
